Have you ever heard about Captcha? If you are often surving on the internet and doing online registration on website you may see the security code in alphanumeric caracters that you have to write on the box. If you enter the wrong code, you have to retype the code until you have the right code then you can complete the registration. That security code named Captcha.
Scientists at Tel Aviv University is currently working on a new captcha technology that they think will be more difficult to infiltrated by hacker robots.“Humans have a very specific skills that a compter bot can not master”, said Profesor Danny Cohen-Or.”We can see what we called ‘image appear’ when an object on the computer screen becomes recognizable when moving and identify these images in seconds.
“Although people can not see the images as objects in the background still punctate, moving objects will allow us to recognize and process it”.
New synthesis techniques produce 3D images such as those running or flying aircraft. This will allow developers to produce an infinite number of moving objects which would be almost impossible to be solved by computer algorithms.
The scientists warn that this experiment would take a time before the results of research can be applied in the real world.
The scientists warn that this experiment would take a little time before the results of research can be applied in the real world. But they are currently defining the parameters that identify the difficulT level of pictures perception that can be used in future.
“We do not claim that our research has been thoroughly resolved,” said Professor Cohen-Or.
Hopefully this research will result in a better way to be able to identify a user whether a human or a robot, without having to trouble us through this process later.
