New year new version. New wordpress 2.9.1 has just released. You can download the latest version of WordPress 2.9.1, this version is a revision of WordPress 2.9 which is fix related bug to the curl extension of PHP that caused a scheduled post and pingback not processed properly.

The interesting features in Wordpress 2.9 are:

1. Features undo / global trash, which means that when you delete posts or comments, you can return from the grave (Trash). This also removes the message “are you sure” that appear every time you delete something.
2. Integrated image editor that allows us to cut, edit, rotate, reverse and change the size of the image. This is the first major feature planned for increased media handling in WordPress.

There is data  compatibility on the plugin directory that indicates whether the plugin is compatible with the new release of WordPress so the upgrade process can be more smoothly.
4. Easy Video insertion. we just insert the URL in the line editor and will be converted into automatic code insertion, with support from Oembed for YouTube, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, Flickr, Hulu, Viddler, Qik, Revision3, Scrib and WordPress.TV.
